Unfortunately the program described below is apparently no longer being offered. If information to the contrary comes to light it will be posted here. Meanwhile, The Field Studies Center of New York offers a couple of comprehensive 3-day or 6-day-long programs for groups entitled Backstage on Broadway that include workshops and seminars, Broadway and Off-Broadway performances, hotel packages and more. For more information, call (212) 564-1343 or visit their website: www.fscnewyork.com/ For anyone who likes Broadway or Off-Broadway shows, and especially for those who are studying the performing arts, Backstage on Broadway offers a program that can't be beat. Simply put, it provides participants with the opportunity of learning about Broadway theatre directly from a professional actor, stage manager, or director. It is an insider's look at how shows are put together and what it takes to present them to the public. One week prior to your scheduled tour, a theatre will be chosen for your date. If a Broadway theatre is not available, an Off-Broadway theatre will be substituted. On your scheduled date, your guide will meet you at the theatre, and you're on your way. Groups must consist of at least 25 people, 14 years or older.
