Lincoln Center offers several great tour opportunities that can be enjoyed by individuals, families, and groups. While a tour may be most interesting to people in their teens or above, youngsters interested in the performing arts would also enjoy it. The basic Tour, for individuals and groups, encompasses the Metropolitan Opera House, New York State Theater, and Avery Fisher Hall or the Vivian Beaumont Theater. Trained guides impart information that enlivens the visual grandeur of America's first Performing Arts Center. A Guided Tour of Jazz at Lincoln Center includes the Frederick P. Rose Hall and the House of Swing, with its breathtaking views. Groups on a Tour can enjoy Meet-The-Artist Programs, which are customized to provide a rare visit with a Lincoln Center or Broadway artist for an engaging conversation and an intimate performance in one of the private rooms in Lincoln Center. Tours last about 1 hour. Add 1½ hours for the Meet-The-Artist Package. Groups consist of 10 or more people. Special Packages are also available that combine the Tour and Meet-The-Artist Program with other top New York sites. Packages include "Sea and Symphony," with World Yacht, "Rock and the Classics," with The Hard Rock Cafe and "Cruising Down and Tuning Up," with the Circle Line. Dining Packages are also available with the Cafe Vienna, the Panevino Restaurant, and the Grand Tier Restaurant, offering a full range of food from sumptuous snacking to gourmet dining. Customized catered events are also available. For students of the performing arts, and for those who enjoy the arts, this tour is a unique opportunity to get behind the scenes and see what it takes to make an outstanding performance happen.
