There are probably few parents or teachers out there who need help in getting their students interested in mathematics. Just for the fun of it, though, a trip to this unique museum would be a day well spent. 

The Museum offers great after-school tutorials for individual students, as well as Saturday and School Vacation Programs. Interested parents and teachers should call for more information on these valuable services. 

For School Groups, Goudreau offers a number of hands-on programs for grades K through 12. To mention a few: Through the Looking Glass (grades 3 and up), investigates symmetry, reflections, angles, and spatial perception through the use of mirrors. Participants will construct a forward or rear-viewing periscope; Welcome to Mathmagic Land (grades K - 5) provides a potpourri of activities which seem to be magic, but are based on mathematical principles; Geodesic Domes (grades 6 - 12) explores the structural integrity of several solids, determining which shapes are rigid and which are not. The students will build their own small scale dome, and a 10 foot dome will be constructed by the group. This is a 3 hour workshop that can be trimmed back to 2 1/4 hours with students building their own domes in their own classrooms. 

A number of other very interesting programs and workshops are offered; most of them last 90 minutes. An additional 30 minutes is generally set aside for time in the Museum's game and puzzle section. Maximum of 35 in group.
