With 27 original buildings on 100 acres of open land, Richmondtown Restoration is a historic village and museum complex interpreting three centuries of daily life and culture on Staten Island. Visitors can follow the evolution of Richmond from its beginnings as a rural crossroad, through its development as a County seat, to its incorporation as a borough and suburb of the City of New York. Relocated buildings show the story of agriculture, commercial, and coastal Staten Island. A sampling of the buildings to explore are the Historical Museum, Richmondtown presents interesting and educational activities throughout the year, such as Tavern Concert Series, workshops, parties, special shows, antiques market, and even a Civil War Re-enactment. Call for calendar.
