Rates run from about $50.00 to $55.00 per canoe (2 people), depending on the model you choose and when you go (weekdays or weekends/holidays). Kayaks cost about $40.00 for a 1-person to about $55.00 for a 2-person boat. Good canoeing/camping packages. About an hour east of Philadelphia, 1½ hours south of New York. Mick's Canoe Rental Mick's offers canoe trips on the Wading, Oswego, and Batsto Rivers in beautiful Wharton State Forest. Trip length varies from 2 to 10 hours, and paddlers can choose from one of several departure points. Rates range from $48.00 each for 1 - 4 canoes to $42.00 each for 5 - 9 canoes, with further discounts offered on a sliding scale basis. Kayaks start at $37.00 for 1 - 4. 30 - 60 minutes east of Philadelphia, 2 hours south of New York. Bel Haven Canoes Bel Haven rents canoes for use on several rivers: Wading River, Oswego, Batsto, and Mullica -- all calm rivers for a peaceful, relaxing trip through beautiful surroundings. Rates vary according to which river you use and run from $48.00 to $56.00 per canoe for 1 - 4 canoes. Sliding scale discounts apply when more boats are rented. Kayaks cost $37.00 - $42.00. Less than an hour east of Philadelphia, 1½ -2 hours south of New York. Delaware River Tubing Enjoy a lazy scenic tubing or rafting float on the river including an exclusive BBQ meal by the famous "River Hot Dog Man" midway next to a beautiful private island, with picnic tables in the water. View the wildlife just a few miles from George Washington's Historic Crossing. Reasonable all-inclusive pricing. "Spend a day, Not a fortune." Rates for individuals start at $10.95 and are only $16.95 (weekdays), including the meal. Steep discounts for groups that reserve well in advance.
Point Pleasant Canoe & Tube Point Pleasant (aka Bucks County River Country) offers 2 or 4-hour raft and canoe trips on the calmer waters of the Delaware, or more adventurous trips on Tohickon Creek. Multi-day family trips with camping, fishing, and other activities are available. Rates begin at about $18.00 per adult for a tube rental and $62.00 for a 2-hour canoe rental. Wilderness Canoe Trips Canoeing is a wonderful way to explore the Brandywine River, a serene waterway known for beautiful scenery. Wilderness Canoe, in business more than 25 years, plans and conducts healthy, relaxing and fun trips in both canoes and tubes. During the summer a special "after work" canoeing program is available. Bicycle excursions are also available. Rates per canoe (2 people) range from $52.00 for a 2-hour trip to $62.00 for a 4-hour trip. Group discounts are available. Tubes cost from $17.00 for individuals. All trips travel south on the Brandywine. Less than an hour south of Philadelphia, 2½ hours south of New York. Adams Canoe Rental Operating on the calm waters of the Mullica and Batsto Rivers and Atsion Lake in Wharton State Forest, this family business offers 3- to 7-hour trips plus overnighters. It's a fun way to tour New Jersey's beautiful Pine Barrens. Bring a picnic lunch for eating on the rivers' small sand beaches. Costs are about $75.00 for 1 canoe, with a sliding scale down to about $40.00 each for 1 - 10 canoes. Kayaks run from $45 - $30.00. 30 - 60 minutes southeast of Philadelphia, 90 - 120 minutes south of New York. Northbrook Canoe Northbrook offers a variety of exciting trips that either begin or end at their location on the picturesque Brandywine River. Basic canoe rates range from $35.00 for a 1-hour trip to $75.00 for 6½ hours (2 people per canoe). On non-holiday weekdays subtract $5.00. Group rates same. Tube and Splash (a small, kayak-like boat) trips are also available. As the name implies, a Splash will get you wet!
