There is likely not one of us who has not spent hours with Crayola crayons.  Well, Crayola has gone the extra mile! Actually, Crayola has been offering factory tours for some time.  But the tours became too popular, the demand too high for the company to keep up with, so they built another factory -- this one just for kids.  

This 20,000 square foot facility offers wonderful, state-of-the-art exhibits and activities for children of just about every age, from pre-schoolers to teenagers. 

• The Factory Floor: see how a Crayola crayon is molded, labeled and packed.  This is an assembly line that actually produces crayons.
• The Creative Studio features giant glass walls that kids can color from both sides, having fun watching the colors combine to make new colors.
• Easton Press and Bindery: this exhibit explores traditional and non-traditional print making.  Children make their own stationery or assemble a book.  From finger painting to plate making, the extraordinary world of images is here to be explored.
• The Light Zone: light is a fascinating subject.  Ask any photographer -- it's all light.  From color mixing to reflection to magnification, this exhibit helps kids of all ages understand scientific concepts of light and color.
• Super Sculptures gets children involved, using teamwork and hands-on play to mold a fascinating 3-D sculpture into their own works of art.
• The Imaginarium is a CD-ROM studio that children use to create posters, name tags, greeting cards, certificates, and other computer art.  It's great fun and a great introduction to this newest of artists' tools.
