Ephrata and its surrounding communities are rich in local history that reflects the development of the entire nation. The Historical Society of the Cocalico Valley preserves this history in fine style in the restored home of Moore and Rebecca (Konigmacher) Connell. Built in 1868 the house is a beautiful example of Victorian Italianate architecture. Visitors will enjoy exploring the period rooms where they will discover a variety of artifacts that bring the history and culture of the Cocalico Valley area to life. The Valley includes the townships of East and West Cocalico, Clay, Ephrata, West Earl, and portions of Earl, all in Lancaster County. Tours are available for individuals, Groups, and School Groups of most grades.
