This fine little museum interprets the culture and history of the Slate Belt area. Housed in a Landmark 1836 building, permanent displays include
- A Slate Mining Exhibit
- Antique Farm Implements
- Victorian Home Furnishings and Clothing
- Local Indian Artifacts
- County Doctors' Tools
Throughout the season a number of special exhibits are also featured, and the several family events include a great Autumn Arts and Crafts Festival.There are no formal School Programs, but Museum staff will work with teachers to make a class visit a rewarding and memorable experience.
