Just the setting of this beautiful museum is sufficient enticement for frequent visits. Adjacent to the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge (see elsewhere in this guide), the modern, cedar-sided structure is nestled on the edge of Lily Lake. The four wing galleries, accented with natural wood, add to the perfect atmosphere for the presentation of the fine art exhibitions regularly scheduled here.

Founded in 1982 by Fred and Ethel Noyes, the Museum has been one of the Delaware Valley's best kept secrets for years. It is Southern Jersey's only fine arts museum, and it acquires, preserves, displays and interprets 19th and 20th century American art, craft and regional folk art, as well as an outstanding collection of vintage bird decoys.

The Museum features twelve to fourteen changing exhibitions annually, delighting visitors with something new and exciting every time. Painting, sculpture, and a variety of other media can be enjoyed. Many of New Jersey's most talented artists exhibit here, as well as great artists from around the entire Northeast.

The Noyes is a family museum. A full calendar of events offers exceptional programs and activities, including frequent "Meet the Artist" Days, when visitors can meet these creative people and discover first hand the techniques they use to create their works. The "Young at Art" student gallery features exciting projects by students from Southern Jersey schools. Concerts, lectures, poetry readings, children's workshops, and family festivals are among the other great activities that take place here. Call for a calendar.
